Well ive finally gotten a chance to scan some stuff. Im going to scan some more from my sketchbooks this weekend considering ive finished three of them since the last time i posted anything on here.

Im at the school of visual arts right now and in my own opinion im tearing it up artwise and making some of the best stuff ive ever made. I feel that ive improved quite a bit since getting here only two months ago which is crazy to me. IVe been doing some painting which is completely different for me considering all my drawings. But im really enjoying it and enjoying how the paintings have been coming out. IF i get a chance at some point ill put my paintings up here. But things are going good here so far. But to a degree i feel like im way more into what im doing than most of the people here. I know that makes me sound like an ass but i could care less.

But right now im working on an online comic for class called sweet tea which will be optic nerve like in the way it will be unrelated mini stories.

and im also slowly working every so often on star struck wich is a story of unrequited love told in metaphors.

My friends have also been trying to convince me to go back and finish that comic about Gorak killer of gnomes, but i no longer feel the way i did when i started making that comic and im afraid how it will turn out.

so the actual act of posting art on deviantart is like laborous to me. But i think thats because i post massive chunks at a time and i get really bored but anyway. I've been drawing non stop lately and reading comics whenever i get the chance. I got accepted to the School of Visual arts but am i really art school material. I don't really know. I feel like i might be better off just living life and teaching myself from scratch how to make my comics. Im so insecure artwise lately. Im trying to draw less sketchy but my lack of confidence fights me on it. All the new stuff is just a slice of what i've been up too. I'm doing two comic projects right now.
1. Deep Six3d- which is in the future and is about an army type of troop that cleans up after everything.
2. Bananas and HArdware. Which is drawn straight to pen (which is like raping free style) on yellow legal pad, and its all done on my time at work, ITs all like one page strips about shit that happens to me.

I'm trying to get these all put together for mocca so i can trade and stuff with people cause im having serious money issues lately.

i know i haven't posted a journal or any art in what seems like forever so tonight i uploaded a bunch of crap. heres just the major things with me since last time.

1) i gave up on my italy comic because of lack of motivation but i am doing a different comic right now that will have some of the italy comic in it as an extra. I'm hoping to have that bad boy done by the time i leave for florida and have them printed up before august 1St cuz i'm going to a party with a bunch of friends and i hope to hand out copies on that night.

2) i'm gonna draw a one page comic each day and post it i promise.

3) i met brandon graham, becky cloonan and vasisilis lolos and it was one of the greatest days of my life. becky told me to start drawing comics and since then i have been drawing comics non stop.

4) i've gotten really into the naruto and the one piece comics( i don't say manga cuz japanese people call em comics too.) i had this idea that all japanese comics were drawn really shittly and with not to much skill (like the yu gi oh comic). But i was completely wrong. One piece and naruto are some of the best drawn comics i've seen in awhile and its a real fun read.

5) i've watched akira 5 times in the past two weeks and i feel like its one of the greatest animated movies ever made. i have to buy this movie.

6) I also picked up "demo" by becky cloonan and the story about the friends working in the supermarket seems like it was made about me and my friends. i too must find a way to get out of that shithole store i work in and do what i really want to.

i've only posted one thing so i'm already failing me promise of more work to come. i've got 3 things to say right now

1) I"ve discovered quite possibly my new favorite artist in BRandon Graham. Definitely check out king city it kicks ass. Hes inspired me to draw comics more and i;'ve been doing all these little crude sketches of whats going on with me.

2) i'm working on a 12 page comic about my adventures in croatia and italy so look for pages soon

3) i am so done with women right now after i've just had my heart stomped on with cute plaid converse.

4) i've got one major problem with problem with DA. it seems like if your not already a big time artist its impossible to be discovered on this little biznatch unless you post thousands of things constantly. I want to get my art noticed and i want to see comments to see what people really think of my stuff.

i know i've been kinda slacking with posting art. Its not like i'm not making it just haven't posted it. from this point on i'm gonna try to post something every other day. So check back often
